Designed with the player in mind, LA select guitars prioritise high-quality craftsmanship and excellent ergonomics. Whether it be the contoured body, the punchy Wilkinson pickups or the slim profile neck, these guitars provide player-friendly refinements at every opportunity.

The pink LA select is built upon an ash body. Used throughout the guitar industry due to its warm and bright qualities, ash is a rich tone wood which has the added benefit of being relatively lightweight. The pink finish adorns a classic double cutaway body shape, making sure you not only look the part, but also have easy access to the higher frets for solos.

The smooth maple neck has been tailored to a slim and comfortable 'C shape' and topped with a Jatoba fretboard - offering outstanding tonal transfer, responsiveness and durability with a modern 16" radius fretboard for superb string-bending action.

Wilkinson brand hardware

The pink LA is one of six models in the LA select range featuring upgraded hardware, this makes the guitar's tuning and intonation extremely stable and accurate. At the headstock, blackout machine heads and two string trees provide a smooth and accurate tuning experience - this allows you to play confidently, safe in the knowledge that your guitar has got your back despite any bends or dive bombs you might throw at it.

At the other end of the guitar, a Wilkinson designed 2-point tremolo bridge system offers precise vibrato action, and returns to tune with ease. Easily adjustable bridge pieces offer precise intonation for each string, and the three-spring block is naturally more stable. In-built strap buttons mean you can play your LA select for hours without strain, and jam in whatever position feels most comfortable for you.

Versatile pickups and controls

This LA guitar comes equipped with three high output Wilkinson M-series pickups - two single coils and one humbucker - all wired to a five-way selector switch. The three-pickup and five-way switch configuration is a setup well known for its tonal versatility, allowing you to select different combinations of the three pickups as follows:

1. Bridge Pickup Only
2. Middle and Bridge Pickups
3. Middle Pickup Only
4. Neck and Middle Pickups
5. Neck Pickup Only

The three awesome pickups are also controlled via 500k Alpha volume and tone pots, making it easier than ever to get your ideal sound - the tone knob allows you to quickly brighten/dampen your tone, and the volume knob gives you instant access to adjusting your level.

What's included?

The LA's included accessories truly seal the deal. There's a sturdy strap, which will let you practice and play standing up, as well as picks for hitting the strings. Then there's the cable for connecting the guitar to an amplifier, and a gig bag to help keep your instrument safe from knocks and scratches when you're carrying it around.
